Privacy Policy

Information We Don't Collect

Momentum operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information, including:

• Job application details (company names, positions, dates)
• Interview events and notes
• Contact information you enter
• Calendar data or events
• Search queries or filters
• Usage statistics or analytics
• Device identifiers or location data

How Your Data is Stored

All data you enter into Momentum is stored locally on your Android device using Room database (a SQLite-based local storage system). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Data Export

You have the option to export your job application data to CSV format. When you use this feature:

• The file is saved to your device's storage
• You control where the file is shared (email, cloud storage, etc.)
• We do not receive or have access to exported files

Calendar Integration

If you choose to sync events to your device calendar:

• You can create calendar events for any job-related activity (interviews, follow-ups, phone screens, etc.)
• Calendar events are created directly on your device using Android's Calendar API
• We only access your calendar to read available calendars and write events you choose to create
• No calendar data is transmitted to our servers
• You can revoke calendar permissions at any time in your device settings

Permissions We Request

Momentum may request the following Android permissions:

• READ_CALENDAR & WRITE_CALENDAR: To sync interview events with your device calendar (optional feature)
• INTERNET: Required for future features like cloud sync (currently not implemented)
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To save CSV exports to your device (Android 9 and below)

All permissions are requested only when needed for specific features, and you can deny them without affecting core app functionality.

Third-Party Services

Momentum does not currently integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your data is not shared with anyone.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's security features (screen lock, encryption)
• We recommend keeping your device secure with a password or biometric lock
• If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted from your device
• We recommend backing up important data via CSV export

Children's Privacy

Momentum is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Future Changes

If we introduce features that collect data (such as cloud sync or analytics), we will:

• Update this privacy policy with clear disclosure
• Notify you within the app
• Request your explicit consent before collecting any data
• Make such features entirely optional

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• View all your data within the app
• Export your data at any time
• Delete individual records or clear all data
• Uninstall the app to remove all data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
