Keep Momentum is a native Android app for tracking every job application in one place — from the first send to the final answer. It's built for job seekers who are applying to multiple roles at once and need a clear picture of where things stand without resorting to a spreadsheet.

If you've ever forgotten to follow up, lost track of which company you interviewed with on Tuesday, or had no idea how many active applications you actually had - Keep Momentum is for you.

Tap the + button on the main screen. You have two paths:

• Quick Add — enter just the company name and job title, and save instantly. Takes under 10 seconds. Fill in the rest later.
• Full Add — complete the whole form: salary range, work arrangement, reference number, job URL, priority rating, and notes.

Both approaches create the same record. Quick Add is designed for capturing applications on the go before you forget.

No account required. Keep Momentum is local-first - all your data lives on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and there's no email sign-up, no password, no OAuth flow. You open the app and start tracking immediately.

Keep Momentum is purpose-built for this. For each application you can track:

• Company, job title, date applied, location, work arrangement
• Application method (LinkedIn, Indeed, company site, referral, etc.)
• Salary range, job URL, reference number, and priority level (1–5 stars)
• Current status: Applied → Screening → Interviewing → Offer → Accepted / Rejected / Ghosted / Withdrawn

Every job also has a timeline — a log of events like phone screens, technical interviews, follow-up calls, and offers, each with optional date, time, and notes.

Keep Momentum uses eight statuses to reflect where your application actually stands:

Six stat cards that give you an at-a-glance health check on your search:

• Active Applications — jobs currently at Applied, Screening, or Interviewing
• Interviews This Week — interview events in the next 7 days
• Response Rate — percentage of applications that moved beyond "Applied"
• Days Since Last Activity — how long since you logged anything; keep this low
• Incomplete — quick-added jobs still missing their details
• Milestones — how many of the four milestones you've reached

Tap any of the first five for a plain-English explanation of how that metric is calculated. The Milestones card opens the Milestones & Goals screen instead.

Goals let you set your own targets and watch progress against them. There are six, and you switch on only the ones you care about:

• Applications / Week — a weekly application target
• Follow-Ups / Week — a weekly follow-up target
• Active Funnel — how many live applications you want in play at once
• Response Rate — a response rate you're aiming for
• First Interview By — a date you want your first interview
• Offer By — a date you want an offer

Each active goal shows a progress ring that updates as you log jobs and events. Weekly goals also track a streak, which appears once you've actually built one — a brand-new goal won't show a streak of zero.

Miss a date-based goal and Momentum tells you plainly, then offers to reset the date or switch the goal off. You'll find all of it under Milestones & Goals, reachable from the Milestones card on the dashboard.

Yes. The search bar runs real-time across company name and job title. You can also filter by status, work arrangement, priority level, and date range — and sort by date applied, company name, status, priority, or last activity.

Ghosting detection is one of Keep Momentum's most distinctive features. Once a day, the app runs a background check and automatically marks jobs as Ghosted if:

• You applied more than 30 days ago, and
• You haven't logged any events on that application, and
• The status is still Applied, Screening, or Interviewing

This is a real signal: 61% of job seekers are ghosted after interviews. Keep Momentum takes the ambiguity out of waiting — it names the silence so you can move on.

The automatic ghosting threshold is currently set at 30 days. This is a deliberate default — most employers who intend to respond do so within that window. The follow-up reminder period (separate from ghosting) is configurable in Settings to 1 or 2 weeks.

Tap the job to open the detail view, then tap Edit and change the status back to the appropriate stage (Screening, Interviewing, etc.). To prevent it from being auto-marked again, log a recent event — even a simple "Follow-Up Sent" entry is enough to reset the inactivity clock.

Swipe right on any job card. The card returns to position and a small orange badge appears in the top-right corner. The job also appears in the Needs Follow-Up section on your dashboard. To remove the flag, open the job detail and edit the follow-up field.

They're two separate systems:

• Manual flagging — you swipe right and decide "I need to follow up on this." Stays flagged until you clear it.
• Automatic reminders — Keep Momentum detects jobs with no activity for longer than your configured period (1 or 2 weeks) and surfaces them with a prompt like "It's been X days since you applied — follow up?"

The automatic reminder period is configurable in Settings → Follow-Up Reminder Period.

Keep Momentum syncs one-way from the app to your Android calendar. When you log an interview event (phone screen, technical interview, panel, onsite), you can create a corresponding calendar event automatically. The event title format is: [Event Type]: [Company] – [Job Title].

To set this up, go to Settings and select your preferred calendar. You'll be prompted to grant calendar permissions if needed.

Two-way sync creates merge conflicts when events are edited in either place. The one-way approach is intentional: Keep Momentum is the source of truth for your job search data, and your calendar is the source of truth for scheduling.

Entirely on your device. Keep Momentum uses a local database — nothing is uploaded to any server. No account is required. Your job search data is yours.

Yes. Go to Settings → Export to CSV. The export includes all jobs with date applied, company, position, reference number, status, last activity date and type, location, and work arrangement. You can save to your Downloads folder or share directly to email, Google Drive, or any other app.

Yes. Deletes are soft — the record is moved to Trash, not permanently erased. Go to Settings → Trash to restore any deleted job. Records in Trash are permanently purged after 30 days.

Yes — completely free, with no limits, no ads, and no account to create. Everything described on this site is included.

There's no premium tier, and none is planned right now. If that ever changes, the features you're using today stay free, and it will be announced here first.
